Waltham and Lincoln Receive Firefighter Safety Equipment Grants

Rep. Stanley is pleased to announce that Waltham and Lincoln will receive grant funding from the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security (EOPSS) and the Department of Fire Services (DFS) to purchase of firefighter safety equipment. Waltham received a $35,000 grant while Lincoln received nearly $12,000.

Fire departments in every city, town, fire district, and eligible state authority fire departments were eligible to apply for grant funding in State Fiscal Year 2022. The total amount of funding available was $5 million, and grants were awarded on a competitive basis. The maximum amounts of grant funding were determined by the population of the community being served.
