WALTHAM, MA—Surpassing the 50 signature threshold by leaps and bounds, candidate for Waltham Mayor Tom Stanley collected and turned in over 2,500 nominations signatures to the Waltham City Clerk’s office, qualifying him for the November ballot.

Since nomination papers were released at the beginning of May, Stanley has led a strong grassroots effort collecting nomination signatures from all corners of the city. “I personally have knocked on over 2,000 doors in the last six weeks. Additionally, my campaign volunteers have worked tirelessly to collect signatures by canvassing Waltham neighborhoods, standing outside local storefronts, and hosting house parties with their family and friends”.

The last 500 signatures were collected this past Saturday, June 20th, at the Stanley headquarters official grand opening. Over one hundred volunteers gathered at the newly opened office located at 986 Main Street in Waltham. Stanley gave welcoming remarks to the crowd stating, “I am incredibly humbled by your support and dedication to our campaign. Every day residents are joining Team Stanley because they know Waltham can do better”. After Stanley’s remarks, volunteers went door-to-door canvassing and to Waltham Riverfest to collect nomination signatures.
